Description
Paulownia PROFI®
Format
Bare-root tree

Paulownia PROFI® – Tree 4 m is a bare-root Paulownia tree, already formed, with lignified stem and root system selected for transplanting. It is an advanced hybrid P. Fortunei × P. Catalpifolia.

Format and Supply

Supplied bare-root and planted as soon as possible after delivery. The purpose of the format is to protect the roots during transport and support orderly planting, with clear, identifiable and manageable plant material from delivery.

Variety and Application

PROFI® is an advanced hybrid: variety selected for fast growth, cold resistance and light timber production in demanding areas. Recommended for timber plantations, biomass and professional projects where climatic stability is important.

Main Use

light timber, biomass, professional plantations, CO2 capture projects, agronomic trials and technical Paulownia cultivation. Format choice depends on project size, transport distance, planting season and the development level required on delivery.

Climate and Site

Especially suited to Northern Europe, Central Europe, Eastern Europe and cold continental belts: Germany, Poland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Czechia, Slovakia, Austria, Hungary, Romania, Ukraine, Bulgaria, the Baltic countries, southern Scandinavia, Kazakhstan and inland areas with hard winters. It is the strongest option when high cold resistance and very powerful growth are both required.

Flowering and Ornamental Value

Violet flowering with good melliferous interest, supported by strong crown and large leaves. Its floral appeal complements timber orientation and climate resistance.

Expected Result

With prepared soil, support irrigation and correct early management, it allows the establishment of a vigorous, well-rooted Paulownia aligned with the real project objective.

Cultivation

Cultivation Conditions

PROFI®. It is an advanced hybrid P. Fortunei × P. Catalpifolia. Supplied bare-root and planted as soon as possible after delivery. Delivery: check moisture and plant condition on arrival; keep roots protected and prepare deep, loose and drained soil before planting.

Growing Zones

Especially suited to Northern Europe, Central Europe, Eastern Europe and cold continental belts: Germany, Poland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Czechia, Slovakia, Austria, Hungary, Romania, Ukraine, Bulgaria, the Baltic countries, southern Scandinavia, Kazakhstan and inland areas with hard winters. It is the strongest option when high cold resistance and very powerful growth are both required.

Site and Position

Preferably full sun, with deep, aerated and drained soil. In professional plantations, prioritise correct spacing, weed control, support irrigation and stem training from the first cycle.

Melliferous Value

In colder climates, its flowering is useful for pollinators in a period when floral mass may be more limited. It adds complementary beekeeping value while keeping its industrial plantation profile.

Irrigation

Hydrate roots if transport has been long, plant promptly and apply deep settling irrigation. During the first weeks, maintain regular moisture without waterlogging.

Aroma and Flowering

Violet flowering with good melliferous interest, supported by strong crown and large leaves. Its floral appeal complements timber orientation and climate resistance.
